About the Programme Manager – Service Integration Role

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor for equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. This role is based in Riyadh and is a full-time position. The Programme Manager – Service Integration will support critical project delivery activities, ensuring the underlying support solution for the SSS contract is fit for purpose and operates as designed. This position is part of the SSS Fleet Support Team and will collaborate within an integrated project team responsible for managing the performance, design, and operation of the support solution.

Role Context and Responsibilities

This role is responsible to the Head of Support Delivery. The Programme Manager will oversee the integration and delivery of all support chain improvement initiatives across Avionics, General Systems, AGE/Role Equipment, and Engine support lines. This includes leading change initiatives with both Saudi Arabian and European suppliers. A key aspect of the role involves assessing SSS in-service data and solution modelling reports to proactively identify potential performance issues and implement appropriate change actions or projects to mitigate them.

Key Duties and Accountabilities

  • Manage the Targeted Support Team, ensuring adherence to policies, maintaining succession plans, and facilitating team development.
  • Integrate and deliver support chain improvement activities across various support lines, leading change initiatives with suppliers.
  • Assess in-service data and modelling reports to anticipate performance issues and initiate change actions.
  • Collaborate with Fleet Support Contract Delivery Managers to identify and manage performance issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead the review process for support solution management information requiring change action.
  • Integrate with the solution modelling team to visualize issues and communicate necessary information for change authorization.
  • Manage change and configuration processes with the Fleet Support Engineering team to maintain support solution design control.
  • Engage with senior customers on support solution issues and projects, ensuring stakeholders are informed of scope, plans, and progress.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess a degree in a related field. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with senior members of BAE Systems, RSAF, and both Saudi Arabian and European suppliers. Effective communication skills are required to simplify complex issues, gain support, and mobilize action plans in both formal and informal settings. The role also requires the ability to set and maintain standards for programme status reporting, including issue, risk, and opportunity management. Data literacy is important for identifying negative trends, highlighting risks to service performance, and developing mitigation plans.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel to other locations within Saudi Arabia, the UK, and Europe for workshops, reviews, and meetings.
  • Experience in significant internal cross-functional and cross-business unit collaboration to achieve project goals.
  • Proficiency in people management and development.
