About the Role

DXC Technology is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its software consulting division. This role requires on-site presence at a banking client in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Senior Project Manager will act as the primary representative for DXC Technology, leading complex integration and backend development projects. The position focuses on end-to-end Waterfall delivery of middleware solutions using the IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) stack and Java-based microservices. Success in this role depends on strong client-facing skills, managing a hybrid onshore/offshore delivery model, project baseline management, supporting non-functional testing, and overseeing production defect resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact between DXC Technology's delivery teams and the bank’s internal IT and business stakeholders.
• Manage client expectations regarding project timelines, deliverables, scope changes, and resource allocation.
• Adhere to the bank’s internal governance processes and secure phase-gate sign-offs within a Waterfall framework.
• Drive the delivery of integration solutions utilizing IBM CP4I components, including MQ, App Connect Enterprise, and API Connect.
• Oversee the backend development of scalable and secure banking microservices using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Coordinate tasks and optimize productivity across a hybrid team, managing onshore consultants and offshore delivery centers.
• Maintain detailed project schedules, establish and manage critical path baselines, and ensure the creation of audit-ready project documentation.
• Direct functional testing phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support Non-Functional Testing (NFT) by coordinating environment readiness and allocating development resources to address identified issues.
• Manage the resolution of production defect fixes within the project scope, including triage, resolution, and deployment.
• Proactively identify technical risks or blockers related to legacy core banking connectivity and API integration.
• Ensure compliance of all code and integration flows with the bank’s information security policies and central bank regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of overall IT project management experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience working for a software development vendor or consulting firm deployed at a banking client.
• Demonstrated expertise in Waterfall project management methodologies, with a proven track record of managing timelines, scopes, and budgets.
• Proven experience managing hybrid project models, coordinating onshore client-facing teams and offshore development units.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Extensive experience with IBM CP4I components, including ACE, MQ, and API Connect.
• Strong understanding of Java backend ecosystems and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in managing projects involving containerized deployment, such as Red Hat OpenShift.
• Expertise in Waterfall Project Management.
• Proven ability in Client Relationship Management and Stakeholder Management.
• Experience with Integration Solutions and Middleware technologies.
• Familiarity with Java frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Proficiency with enterprise project management tools including MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
• Excellent negotiation skills.

• Demonstrated Problem Solving and Leadership skills.

Work Location and Type

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a contract work type. The position requires the selected candidate to work on-site at the client's premises.
