Project Control Manager

About the Role

AECOM Saudi Arabia is seeking a Project Control Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is essential for a rail project, focusing on the development and maintenance of integrated project schedules, cost management, and leading risk and change management processes. The successful candidate will also provide crucial contract and commercial support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the rail project.
• Monitor project progress against approved baselines and milestones.
• Analyze schedule performance, identify delays, critical path activities, and develop recovery plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, systems, and commissioning teams to ensure schedule integration.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis and forecast project completion dates.
• Establish project cost control systems and procedures.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
• Prepare Cost Performance Reports and Earned Value Analysis (EVM).
• Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage project cash flow forecasts and financial reporting.
• Develop project KPI dashboards and performance metrics.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client review.
• Present project status, trends, and forecasts to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate progress measurement across all project workstreams.
• Maintain project risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Support quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.
• Lead the project change management process.
• Evaluate schedule and cost impacts of change requests and variations.
• Track claims, variations, and contractual implications.
• Support commercial teams in evaluating claims and change orders.
• Review contractor schedules, progress reports, and recovery plans.
• Assist in dispute resolution related to schedule and cost matters.
• Coordinate with contract management teams to ensure compliance.

Leadership and Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor Project Controls Engineers, Planners, Cost Engineers, and Reporting Specialists.
• Interface with client representatives, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Establish project control standards, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project controls functions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project control management.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules.
• Proficiency in cost control systems and procedures.
• Experience with risk and change management processes.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide contract and commercial support.
