About Parsons and the Role
Parsons Corporation is seeking a Project Controls Data Analyst to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and involves integrating various project aspects, including engineering, scope, budget, scheduling, procurement, construction, and start-up activities for projects.
Role Scope and Project Integration
The Project Controls Data Analyst may manage subtasks within larger projects or studies, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations. A key aspect of this role is responsibility for the technical excellence of project engineering functions. This includes coordinating technical disciplines, managing the procurement of materials and equipment, and providing assistance with construction planning. Relocation to the project site may be required during construction and start-up phases.
Core Responsibilities: Reporting and Analytics
The primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
- Automating recurring project controls reports and performance metrics.
- Producing executive-level reports that highlight project status.
- Developing standardized Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for program and portfolio reporting.
- Analyzing progress trends for projects.
- Supporting earned value management (EVM) reporting and analysis.
- Providing forecasting support for project schedules and costs.
Business Intelligence and Process Improvement
Further responsibilities involve enhancing business intelligence and streamlining processes:
- Transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for project leadership.
- Identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for performance improvement.
- Developing automated data extraction, transformation, and reporting solutions.
- Utilizing technologies such as Python and SQL to streamline data processing and reporting workflows.
- Improving reporting efficiency through digital tools and innovative analytical techniques.
- Supporting digital transformation initiatives within Project Controls.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for the Project Controls Data Analyst position should meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in project controls or data analysis.
- Experience supporting large-scale construction, infrastructure, engineering, or capital projects is preferred.
Location and Work Arrangement
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As noted, relocation to project sites may be required during specific project phases, particularly construction and start-up activities.
