Project Director, Infrastructure & Earthworks

Sama Construction & Contracting is seeking an experienced and vision-driven Project Director to lead a large-scale Infrastructure & Earthworks project. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, and requires a seasoned professional with extensive leadership in heavy civil engineering and site operations.

About the Role

The Project Director will provide strategic oversight and hands-on leadership for all phases of the project. This includes managing complex operations such as site preparation, mass excavation, and backfilling. The role involves directing project execution from initial planning through to final handover, ensuring all project objectives and standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall project execution, encompassing planning, site preparation, and final handover processes.
• Direct and monitor large-scale Earthworks operations, including excavation, mass filling, grading, and compaction activities.
• Manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams, heavy machinery fleets, sub-contractors, and external consultants.
• Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, quality standards, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Lead stakeholder management, interface with government authorities, and oversee comprehensive contractual compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 10-15+ years of experience in civil infrastructure, with proven leadership in major site preparation and earthmoving projects.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Strong expertise in soil mechanics, earthwork volume calculations, and heavy equipment management.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and contract management skills.
