About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Project Director to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading a team of professionals in overseeing all phases of large-scale projects and programs. The Project Director will serve as the primary company representative with clients and subcontractors during program execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Company representative with clients and selected subcontractors throughout program execution.
• Negotiate changes to the scope of work with clients and key subcontractors.
• Collaborate with Business Development to market and secure additional work with clients.
• Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and public meetings in support of clients.
• Plan, direct, supervise, and control all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
• Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activity, including significant milestones and any conditions affecting project cost or schedule.
• Establish weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.

Project Planning and Oversight

• Oversee the establishment of the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other required documents.
• Establish program requirements for all project areas and monitor draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
• Develop and distribute a concise project description to all project team members for reference.
• Ensure the project meets or exceeds established goals in budgets, schedules, and plans.
• Devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
• Promote technical and commercial excellence through the application of Quality Assurance processes.

Team Leadership and Resource Management

• Assign responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates based on their qualifications and strengths.
• Provide input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
• Mobilize company resources through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries to form effective project teams.
• Discuss required qualifications for key project positions with profit center and department managers.
• Collaborate with office facilities staff to address project space requirements.
• Work with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop project budgets, schedules, and plans.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 20 years of related work experience, including significant supervisory and managerial roles.
• Proven experience in managing and delivering development infrastructure Mega Projects globally.
• Extensive managerial experience leading large groups of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel.
• Prior experience working and coordinating with third-party Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Teams on adjacent projects.
• Previous experience in the coordination of multi-design teams.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
• Comprehensive understanding of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for completing assignments.
