Project Engineer Electrical (Substation)

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Project Engineer Electrical (Substation) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the execution and supervision of 380kV substation projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, SEC standards, and safety and quality requirements. The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating various project aspects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day site execution of 380kV BSP/substation projects.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, construction personnel, subcontractors, and SEC representatives.
• Ensure all work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and specifications.
• Monitor project progress, including manpower, materials, and site resources.
• Ensure timely inspection, testing, documentation, and closure of site activities.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues that arise during project execution.
• Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in 380kV BSP/substation projects.
• Mandatory approval from the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
• Strong knowledge of SEC standards, project execution methodologies, site coordination, and subcontractor management.
• Experience with High Voltage SS projects.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of substation construction practices.
• Proficiency in quality and safety management protocols.
• Effective stakeholder management skills, particularly with SEC, consultants, and contractors.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and execution capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and challenging project environment.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working on-site to oversee the execution of critical electrical infrastructure projects.
