The Role

KEO Group is seeking a Project Manager (Design) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing all phases of project scope, from set-up and design to coordination and delivery, ensuring adherence to project standards and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all project phases, including set-up, design, and coordination meetings.
• Plan and manage project scheduling, budgets, staffing, work plans, and set-up with the project team and sub-consultants.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively, resolving problems through systematic analysis.
• Collaborate with Technical Leaders to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and achieve project targets.
• Ensure project standards and QAQC control procedures are implemented and maintained for all technical areas to achieve high standards of design and documentation.
• Track and manage project financial performance, including work plans, schedules, fees, billings, and collections, to ensure project completion within budget and with maximum profitability. This includes preparing monthly progress reports and invoices.
• Create and communicate clear project objectives and requirements to key stakeholders, including clients.
• Manage the performance of the project team to achieve high standards of design and documentation.
• Coordinate with other KEO Divisions and sub-consultants for projects under responsibility.
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships to ensure repeat business.
• Ensure Project Terms of Reference are established, confirmed, and fulfilled.
• Provide leadership and direction to the project team through proactive communication of project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule.
• Ensure proactive and up-to-date communication and reports to Design Leadership and Principle in Charge regarding project status and performance.
• Prepare look-ahead reports for MD Design, Regional A&E Services Director, and Technical Directors.
• Ensure implementation of and compliance with ISO 9001 at all project stages.
• Make recommendations to Technical Leaders and Project Leadership on resource needs.
• Identify and alert the Design Leadership Team about performance issues.
• Provide feedback on staff capabilities and performance to Technical Leaders.
• For new work, ensure contract terms are followed, secure supplemental agreements, prepare or assist in proposals, and assist in presentations for potential projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering is required. A Master's, PhD, or similar qualification is an advantage.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience on various mixed-use, large-scale projects.
• Experience in managing the entire project lifecycle of large, complex, multidisciplinary projects through to post-occupancy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Awareness and understanding of 2D/3D software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
• APM or PMP certification is an advantage.
• Licensed as a Professional Architect or Engineer by an internationally recognized architectural or engineering association/body.
