Project Risk Section Head

About the Role

HILL INTERNATIONAL is seeking a Project Risk Section Head to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves overseeing risk management activities across various projects, ensuring robust identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies are in place throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires extensive experience in project risk management within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting risk workshops and assessments on projects during the execution phase.
• Meeting with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify, assess, and evaluate risk issues arising from different phases in the project lifecycle.
• Developing risk management standards, policies, and procedures.
• Establishing and managing the program risk management plan.
• Identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting risks within the project.
• Creating risk reports for Project Managers.
• Reviewing the accuracy of risk scoring and the adequacy of risk mitigation plans.
• Facilitating the completion and updating of the Project Risk Register.
• Analyzing and monitoring the progress of management actions by each risk owner.
• Training and educating project staff to create continuous awareness for risk management.
• Taking ownership of the Risk Database.
• Generating monthly reports for risk meetings with client representatives.
• Preparing ad-hoc risk management reports as and when required.
• Preparing and implementing a risk management plan for construction projects, outlining processes to mitigate risks, including identification, evaluation, and mitigation procedures.
• Ensuring continued compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project risk management.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting risk workshops and assessments.
• Proven ability to develop and implement risk management plans and procedures.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the Project Risk Section Head will work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and contractors on various projects.
