About the Purchasing Engineer Role

Dar wa Emaar is seeking a Purchasing Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in procurement within the construction or real estate development sectors.

Core Responsibilities

The Purchasing Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing and procurement of various project needs. This includes construction materials, MEP systems, equipment, and associated services, ensuring all acquisitions align with project specifications and requirements.

• Sourcing and procuring construction materials, MEP systems, equipment, and services according to project needs.
• Reviewing drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), specifications, and technical submittals to inform purchasing decisions.
• Preparing and issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Evaluating technical and commercial bids received from vendors.
• Participating in vendor negotiations to secure favorable terms.
• Coordinating with design, engineering, planning, and site teams to ensure procurement activities are synchronized with project timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a strong educational background and relevant professional experience to effectively manage procurement processes.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, specifically in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Demonstrated experience within real estate development or construction projects is essential.
