QA Engineer

About the Role

QSS AI & ROBOTICS is seeking a QA Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of software applications and AI-enabled solutions.

Role Overview

The QA Engineer will play a critical role in validating software applications and AI solutions through structured testing, defect tracking, and continuous collaboration with software, AI, and project teams. This includes comprehensive testing of web applications, dashboards, backend services, APIs, databases, and end-to-end system workflows prior to release and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Test web applications, dashboards, backend services, and REST APIs.
• Validate system workflows, business logic, data accuracy, and application behavior.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
• Validate database records and system data using SQL queries.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Perform retesting after bug fixes and verify proper issue resolution.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production release validation.
• Perform testing across different browsers, devices, environments, and system configurations where required.
• Work closely with software developers, AI engineers, project managers, and other technical teams.
• Verify AI-generated alerts, events, outputs, and system integrations against defined project requirements.
• Support testing using real project scenarios, camera streams, images, videos, and system-generated data where applicable.
• Maintain QA documentation, testing results, defect reports, and release validation records.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, and overall software quality.

Candidate Profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Detail-oriented and technically strong with hands-on experience in testing complex software systems.
• Comfortable working across different layers of solutions, including frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, integrations, and AI-enabled system workflows.
• Proactive in identifying quality risks.
• Capable of working independently and collaborating closely with software developers, AI engineers, and project teams.
