About the Role
QNB is seeking a Vice President – Corporate Relationship Management for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is part of a Saudization initiative and involves the day-to-day management of a portfolio of existing and potential senior/large corporate customers. The incumbent will be responsible for meeting assigned financial targets and serving as the primary resource for extending the full range of QNB's products and services, including credit and deposit services, international transactions, and other specialized offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate customers to achieve financial and non-financial targets, adhering to QNB's credit policies and procedures.
- Oversee business development and origination, including preparing credit recommendations for selected local and regional corporations.
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals for new and prospective customers, addressing relevant risk factors and meeting minimum acceptable standards.
- Conduct timely credit reviews for existing portfolios, considering industry developments and risk factors, at least one month before expiry.
- Manage and mentor Relationship Managers (RMs) and Assistant Relationship Managers (ARMs), ensuring appropriate direction, training, and support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal functions and units to achieve departmental and Group objectives.
- Assist customers with product queries and requests, coordinating with relevant departments for timely service delivery.
- Ensure all requisite facility and account documentation is current and legally valid to protect the bank's interests.
Strategic and Financial Contribution
- Implement strategies and plans to achieve volume, revenue, and profit targets for Corporate Banking within the assigned country location, aligned with QNB’s overall corporate strategy.
- Generate business ideas to consistently boost revenues and enhance productivity.
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Corporate Banking Unit.
- Promote cost consciousness and efficiency to minimize costs and optimize benefits for the bank.
- Identify and report negative events and early signals of potential problematic accounts/relationships in a timely manner.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements, including Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (*, AML & CTF, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions Policy).
- Understand and effectively perform the role under the Three Lines of Defence principle for risk identification, measurement, monitoring, management, and reporting.
- Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
- Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting, and remediation in line with Operational Risk Management requirements.
- Maintain utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information, providing it only on a need-to-know basis to authorized personnel and regulators.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Finance, Banking, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant banking experience, built on a sound credit background and focused on relationship management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential.
- Proficiency in Arabic, French, or other applicable local languages is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Sound knowledge of QNB’s credit policies, procedures, and standards.
- Good knowledge of the banking and commercial environment in the country.
- Ability to solve problems and adopt a hands-on approach to meet financial targets.
- Computer literate, capable of composing correspondences and reports using standard bank applications.
- Strong commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge acquisition.
- High professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and market leadership.
