Algihaz Holding is seeking a dedicated QS Civil Engineer to join its professional team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to managing and optimizing project costs and contracts within our civil engineering operations.

The Role

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for comprehensive cost management, from initial planning and estimation to contract negotiation and ongoing budget analysis. This role involves close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure project financial efficiency and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and prepare accurate quantity requirements.
• Analyze existing budgets, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary adjustments.
• Scrutinize maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts, to secure optimal deals.
• Negotiate effectively with various contractors and vendors.
• Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to foster strong working relationships.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Advise managers and clients on potential improvements and new strategies.
• Monitor material usage, track inventory, and initiate reorders as required.
• Document any design changes and update project budgets accordingly.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
• Travel to various project sites as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in civil engineering projects.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze costs and develop effective negotiation strategies.
• Strong methodical approach to work and problem-solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring regular travel to various project sites as needed.
