About the Opportunity

UCC Holding is seeking a Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience who are committed to ensuring the highest standards of architectural project quality and compliance.

Role Overview

The QA/QC Architectural Engineer is responsible for overseeing and verifying that all architectural works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements. This role supports the implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures by conducting inspections, monitoring construction activities, identifying non-conformities, and coordinating corrective actions to achieve superior workmanship and project quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect architectural works to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, method statements, and applicable building codes.
  • Conduct inspections for architectural finishes, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, painting, ceilings, doors, windows, façade works, and other architectural elements.
  • Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), checklists, and quality documentation in accordance with project requirements.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and company quality procedures.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformities (NCRs), and verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site engineers during inspections and approvals.
  • Review architectural materials to ensure compliance with approved submittals, specifications, and project standards before installation.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, approvals, and quality documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits and support the implementation of audit findings.
  • Assist in investigating quality issues and recommend solutions to improve workmanship and construction quality.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QA/QC processes and project performance.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the QA/QC Manager or Project Management team.

Quality Management and Compliance

A core aspect of this role involves ensuring compliance with the company's Integrated Management System (IMS), Quality Management System (QMS), and project quality objectives. The engineer will actively contribute to quality audits and drive initiatives for continuous improvement within QA/QC processes.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role, preferably within architectural engineering or construction projects. A foundational understanding of project specifications, building codes, and quality management principles is essential for this position.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards

The successful candidate will be required to comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements. This includes actively participating in safety initiatives, hazard reporting, and incident prevention to maintain a safe working environment across all project sites.
