About Alfanar and the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Quality Control Manager Medium Voltage to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to ensuring the production of high-quality goods by overseeing and implementing robust quality control processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the consistent production of high-quality goods. This involves developing and maintaining stringent quality standards, conducting thorough inspections, effectively addressing product non-conformities, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall manufacturing quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, continuously improve, and monitor AED standards through direct inspection of samples during production and random checks on finished products.
  • Develop, document, and implement procedures, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of the quality system based on meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilize statistical data techniques to monitor AED performance and investigate customer concerns or complaints about service quality.
  • Take necessary steps in cases of potentially unsafe or poor-quality services.
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of QHSE policies and collaborate with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
  • Lead internal initiatives to ensure managers and employees understand the importance of quality for all services provided, and elaborate on a Quality Strategy aiming for ISO certification.

Leadership and Management Accountabilities

  • Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to create a robust second line of management, and guide low performers to improve or manage their release.
  • Ensure fair treatment of subordinates without discrimination, assessing performance based on planned results.
  • Take full responsibility for the operation, anticipating problems and taking proactive steps to prevent them, and making necessary and proper timely decisions.
  • Deliver required results in a timely manner with the specified quality and cost, aiming to make a tangible difference and exceed business expectations.
  • Translate corporate goals into business plans, plan, follow up, and execute these plans, monitoring performance and initiating corrective actions.
  • Provide periodic work progress reports and monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational Development and Process Improvement

  • Develop the organizational structure according to current requirements, considering future and development plans, and ensure job descriptions are available and deployed for all roles.
  • Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities as much as possible.
  • Be conversant with and able to navigate IT solutions relevant to the job and business, promoting their full use to spread an automated culture.
  • Adapt to new and alternative techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in quality control management, preferably within the medium voltage sector. A proven track record in implementing and maintaining quality standards in a manufacturing environment is essential.
