alfanar, a prominent player in its industry, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Manager, Medium Voltage to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is essential for upholding the highest standards of product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Role Overview

The Quality Control Manager, Medium Voltage is responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive quality control processes across the entire manufacturing lifecycle. This involves establishing and maintaining robust quality standards, conducting thorough inspections, effectively addressing product non-conformities, and championing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall manufacturing quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, continually improve, and monitor AED standards through direct inspection of samples during production or random checks on finished products.
  • Develop, document, and implement procedures, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of the quality system based on meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilize statistical data techniques to monitor AED performance and investigate customer concerns or complaints regarding service quality, reporting proposed changes.
  • Take necessary steps in cases of potentially unsafe or poor-quality services.
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers and maintain control and documentation procedures.
  • Lead internal initiatives to ensure managers and employees understand the importance of quality for all services provided.
  • Elaborate on a Quality Strategy and lead discussions with Business Unit Managers (BUMs) with the aim of achieving ISO certification.

Leadership and Operational Accountabilities

  • Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to build a robust second line of management, while also guiding or managing low performers.
  • Ensure fair treatment of subordinates without discrimination, with performance leading to planned results as the primary assessment criterion.
  • Take full responsibility for operations as per the job description and required deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Anticipate problems and implement necessary proactive steps to prevent them, making timely and proper decisions.
  • Deliver required results in a timely manner, meeting specified quality and cost standards.
  • Make a tangible difference in the area of operation and exceed business expectations.
  • Transform corporate goals into business plans, then plan, follow up, and execute these plans, monitoring performance and initiating corrective actions.
  • Provide periodic work progress reports and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.
  • Develop the organizational structure according to current requirements, considering future and development plans, and ensure job descriptions are available for all roles.
  • Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities and promoting the full use of automated systems.
  • Adapt to new and alternative techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong background in quality control and management within a manufacturing environment, particularly with medium voltage products.
