About the Role

Atrium Project Management - APM, a Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) company, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for ensuring efficient financial monitoring, compliance with contractual obligations, and supporting cost-related decisions within construction projects managed under the PM/CM framework.

Role Purpose

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the comprehensive cost control, contract administration, and commercial management of construction projects. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding the project's financial health by providing accurate financial oversight and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects.
  • Monitor actual versus budgeted costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Evaluate contractor claims and variations, ensuring accurate cost analysis.
  • Conduct and assist with value engineering assessments to optimize project efficiency.
  • Review and manage contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to analyze bids and negotiate contracts.
  • Prepare and issue contract-related documentation, including payment certificates and claims.
  • Assist in resolving disputes related to contracts, scope, and financial claims.
  • Prepare and maintain Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and track project costs.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and assess work progress for valuation purposes.
  • Verify and review Contractor Invoices and Interim Payment Certificates against agreed terms.
  • Maintain records of project finances, contract variations, Engineer’s Instructions, and Change Orders.
  • Support PM/CM teams in financial reporting, budget reviews, and monthly commercial report updates.
  • Provide cost-related insights and analysis to project stakeholders.
  • Attend project commercial meetings to discuss financial matters, variations, and claims.
  • Prepare monthly commercial reports to track financial performance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost control, contract administration, and commercial management within construction projects.
  • Proficiency in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Strong understanding of contractual agreements and compliance.
