Rail Transport Planner Metro Experience

Overview of the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a qualified Rail Transport Planner with Metro Experience to join its Transport Planning and Strategic Advisory Business Unit. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves contributing to various transport planning studies and projects within the Middle East region.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to transport planning studies, including large-scale transport master plan assessments, traffic impact studies, and multi-disciplinary planning projects for both public and private sectors.
• Undertake junction analysis to support traffic impact assessments.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, including existing conditions analyses, trip generation, junction analysis, and parking assessments.
• Work with limited supervision on assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A degree-qualified professional.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in traffic engineering, transport planning, and traffic modelling.
• Demonstrated understanding of transport planning, traffic engineering, and travel demand theory.
• Experience with public transport networks and familiarity with international transport planning standards and practices.
• Practical understanding of the role and importance of transport planning in development access and citywide mobility plans.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to learn and retain new skills quickly from various sources.
• Some experience in project and financial management.
