About the Role
GEO Global Engineering Consultants is seeking experienced Resident Engineers / Project Managers to join its engineering consultancy team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time, site-based leadership position involves providing senior-level site and project management, overseeing construction activities, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Engineer/Consultant’s representative at site and maintain effective communication with the Client, Contractor, and other project stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee construction activities from mobilization through completion and handover.
- Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract documents, applicable codes, and project requirements.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary site supervision teams, including civil, architectural, MEP, structural, and other technical disciplines.
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, workmanship, and compliance with approved project schedules.
- Review and coordinate contractor submissions, including method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, inspection requests, and technical proposals.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress, quality, and compliance with approved requirements.
- Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays, risks, and areas requiring corrective action.
- Coordinate technical issues and ensure timely resolution of site-related matters.
- Review and monitor progress against project milestones and provide recommendations to the Client and project management team.
- Prepare, review, and consolidate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, technical reports, and other project documentation.
- Monitor variations, claims, extensions of time, and other contractual matters in coordination with the project management and commercial teams.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Coordinate with authorities, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Client in achieving project objectives related to time, cost, quality, safety, and overall project delivery.
- Provide leadership, technical guidance, and effective decision-making throughout the construction phase.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in construction, consultancy, project management, or site supervision.
- Proven experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager, Construction Manager, or in a similar senior consultancy/site management position.
- Strong experience in large-scale, multidisciplinary construction projects.
- Previous experience working for an engineering consultancy, project management consultancy, or major contractor.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project management procedures, quality control, site supervision, and construction methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating effectively with Clients, Contractors, Consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project schedules, progress monitoring, construction documentation, inspections, and quality management.
- Ability to identify project risks, resolve technical/site issues, and drive timely corrective actions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional engineering registration/certification.
- PMP, MRICS, or other relevant professional certifications.
- Experience with major infrastructure, industrial, logistics, warehouse, or large-scale development projects.
- Previous experience in client-side consultancy or PMC roles.
- Familiarity with relevant Saudi/GCC construction regulations, standards, and authority requirements.
- Saudi Arabia and/or GCC project experience.
Work Location
Candidates must be willing to work on-site in Riyadh, Jeddah, or Dammam, depending on project requirements across Saudi Arabia.
