About the Role

YO IT Consulting is seeking a Rust Open Source Contributor for a full-time, contract position. This remote role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience in relevant fields. The position focuses on contributing to open-source repositories that support customer projects.

Core Responsibilities

Contribute production-quality code, conduct thorough reviews, and develop comprehensive documentation for open-source repositories relevant to customer projects.
Design, implement, and optimize complex algorithms and system components using various programming languages.
Identify and resolve technical challenges, bugs, and performance bottlenecks within existing codebases.
Collaborate effectively with other contributors and stakeholders to ensure deliverables align with project goals and best practices.
Create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding processes.
Participate actively in code discussions and provide constructive feedback to elevate overall code quality.

Technical Focus

This role requires proficiency in designing and implementing robust system components. Candidates should be skilled in one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Python, JAVA, GoLang, Typescript, or Rust, with a particular emphasis on contributions within the Rust ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

Previous experience working on large-scale, distributed codebases.
