About the Opportunity
Risk Wise Company for Chemical Engineering is seeking a qualified Safety Inspector (HSE Inspector) to join a project team in Ad Dir'iyah, Riyadh. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Role Purpose and Context
The Safety Inspector will be responsible for the proactive monitoring of site safety activities. This involves implementing and enforcing HSE policies to prevent incidents and promote a culture of safety among all project personnel. The successful candidate will play a direct role in safeguarding workers and ensuring operational adherence to established safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Monitor and ensure strict compliance with all HSE policies and procedures.
- Identify unsafe acts and conditions, recommending and tracking corrective actions.
- Verify the proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly HSE reports.
- Lead toolbox talks and conduct safety awareness sessions for site teams.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures.
- Coordinate effectively with project management to ensure ongoing HSE compliance across all operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Safety Inspector in a relevant industry.
- Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field.
- Valid HSE certification (such as OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent recognized certification) is preferred.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and in dynamic project site environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for conducting training and coordinating with various stakeholders.
- A transferable Iqama is preferred for non-Saudi nationals, if applicable.
