Safety Manager

About the Role

Trust Arabia is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Manager for a contract position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves joining one of our clients, a company specializing in the contracting, construction, and fit-out industry. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures across various project sites.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure compliance with applicable Saudi Arabian regulations, client requirements, and international safety standards. The Safety Manager will also be instrumental in promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization, focusing on project sites within the construction and fit-out sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific HSE management plans, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian occupational health and safety regulations and applicable international standards.
• Oversee daily HSE activities across construction and fit-out project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Monitor high-risk activities, including working at height, lifting operations, electrical works, hot works, and confined-space activities.
• Ensure that subcontractors and site personnel comply with approved safety procedures and project HSE requirements.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
• Conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness sessions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives on all HSE-related matters.
• Prepare and submit periodic HSE performance reports, incident statistics, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor the implementation of emergency response plans and conduct emergency drills when required.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Safety Manager, with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian occupational health and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with international safety standards.
• Experience in the contracting, construction, or fit-out industry is required.
