Job Description

About the Role

Duncan & Ross is seeking an SAP Tax Technology Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in tax technology and SAP systems. The specialist will be responsible for configuring ERP systems to ensure accurate and automated capture, calculation, reporting, and flagging of Zakat, VAT, and WHT data.

Key Responsibilities

Assess the current ERP setup for tax codes, GL mapping, and master data, and address gaps related to Zakat, VAT, and WHT.
Build or configure Zakat base tracking, calculation, and reporting functionalities within the ERP system.
Integrate tax checks into daily posting processes and monthly close procedures to maintain continuous data accuracy.
Develop VAT/WHT validation and monitoring models, including return-to-GL reconciliation, sample tests, and exception logs.
Configure alerts to notify management of discrepancies and unusual patterns, such as rate mismatches, missing WHT on foreign payments, or significant spikes compared to prior months.
Design exportable, audit-ready reports in formats acceptable to ZATCA and external auditors.
Document the implemented solutions and provide training to finance users, followed by a handover to SAR's IT and tax teams.

Deliverables

ERP tax configuration design and change log.
VAT/WHT validation and monitoring toolkit, including models, dashboards, and alert rules.
Zakat calculation and reporting module.
Comprehensive report pack and user guide.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in SAP tax technology and ERP configuration. A strong understanding of Zakat, VAT, and WHT regulations and their application within an ERP environment is essential for this role.
