About Leshines and the Role

Leshines is seeking a Saudi Customs Clearance Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for managing all aspects of customs clearance operations, ensuring efficient and compliant movement of goods to support continuous production within the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and validate all import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with Saudi Customs regulations and SILZ requirements.
  • Manage end-to-end customs clearance processes at ports and SILZ gates, encompassing declaration, inspection handling, and cargo release.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for customs and logistics exceptions, rapidly identifying issues, correcting documentation errors, and coordinating with all parties to resolve disruptions, thereby minimizing demurrage, storage fees, and shipment delays.
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse teams, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders to track shipments from departure to factory receipt, ensuring comprehensive end-to-end visibility and control.
  • Guarantee the timely clearance and delivery of inbound materials to maintain uninterrupted factory operations, with a key performance indicator of zero production line stoppages due to customs or logistics issues.

Customs Compliance and Optimization

  • Support duty payment processes and manage exemption applications in line with local customs and tax laws.
  • Execute duty optimization strategies while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all import/export activities strictly adhere to Saudi Customs laws and SILZ regulations, proactively preventing compliance risks such as penalties, shipment holds, and regulatory violations.
  • Continuously improve clearance workflows to reduce lead times, avoid port congestion charges, and enhance overall supply chain performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on customs clearance experience within Saudi Arabia.
  • Proficiency in Saudi customs and government systems, specifically Fasah and Bayan.
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English for effective communication with Saudi customs officers and international business teams.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Experience with bonded customs zones is considered a strong advantage.

  • Strong execution capability, with the ability to quickly and efficiently resolve documentation errors under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working within system-driven, standardized processes.

Work Environment

This role requires a commitment to work on-site at locations designated by the company within Saudi Arabia.
