About the Role

Kuehne & Nagel Logistics is seeking a Sea Logistics Sales Representative to join our Freight Forwarding team in Riyadh. This full-time role is crucial for generating new business opportunities, with a primary focus on Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) customers. The successful candidate will act as a reliable partner, ensuring the commercial success of Kuehne+Nagel by prioritizing customer needs and demonstrating a deep understanding of sea logistics trade lanes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities with a clear focus on SMEs.
  • Make pricing decisions in alignment with Customer Care Managers.
  • Prepare quotations using online tools and submit proposals to customers.
  • Demonstrate superior Sea Logistics product and trade knowledge.
  • Deliver presentations about main Sea Logistics products.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products.
  • Report customer complaints to the Customer Care Team.
  • Align with the Customer Care Team when onboarding new customers and provide robust and complete content in the Customer Promise/CCL handover form.
  • Utilize CoreLOG to maintain and update customer information.
  • Perform related CRM tasks and activities.
  • Regularly review the customers’ portfolio with CCL managers and the Customer Care Team.
  • Close customer deals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive professional experience and success as a field sales representative in the forwarding or logistics sector.

Skills and Attributes

  • A reliable, trustworthy, and serious demeanour.
  • Excellent negotiating and closure skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and in a highly organized manner.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Native Turkish speaker.
  • Very good computer skills, particularly with MS Office.
  • A valid driving license and ability to travel.

By facilitating the movement of essential items such as medicines, toys, and machine parts, the Sea Logistics Sales Representative plays a part in enabling crucial moments for people globally. The role requires an in-depth understanding of trade-lane geography, service offerings (including sailings, transit times, and reliability), specific country documentation regulations, local standards, operational requirements, and the types of industry/goods/commodities traded on particular routes.
