About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Section Manager, Internal Audit - Manufacturing to lead internal audit functions within its manufacturing operations. Based in Riyadh, this full-time role involves overseeing audit engagements, managing audit teams, and assessing operational controls to enhance process effectiveness, compliance, and overall operational performance.

Key Audit Responsibilities

  • Assess manufacturing risks and develop risk-based audit plans covering operations, supply chain, inventory, procurement, and compliance.
  • Define audit scope, objectives, and resources, coordinating effectively with plant leadership and process owners.
  • Review manufacturing processes and evaluate the effectiveness of operational and financial controls, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Assess controls within ERP systems, manufacturing applications, and operational technologies.
  • Manage manufacturing audit engagements, oversee audit teams, review findings, validate evidence, and ensure quality audit outcomes.
  • Lead special reviews related to operational inefficiencies, production losses, and control issues.
  • Analyze manufacturing KPIs to identify risks and inefficiencies, providing recommendations for process effectiveness, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor corrective actions, key risk indicators, and continuous audit activities.
  • Prepare and communicate audit reports, findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships with plant management and operational teams.

Managerial and Leadership Accountabilities

  • Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to create a robust second line of management, and guide low performers towards improvement or appropriate action.
  • Ensure fair treatment of subordinates, basing assessments on performance that leads to planned results.
  • Take full responsibility for the operation, anticipating problems, and making timely, proactive decisions.
  • Deliver required results with quality and cost efficiency, making a tangible difference to the area of operation and exceeding business expectations.
  • Translate corporate goals into business plans, executing and monitoring their performance, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational and Process Development

  • Develop the organizational structure according to current and future requirements, ensuring job descriptions are available for all roles.
  • Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
  • Utilize and promote IT solutions relevant to the job and business, fostering a culture of automated system usage.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment in accordance with standard regulations.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in internal audit, specifically within a manufacturing environment. This experience should demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and related control frameworks.
