The Role of Senior Architect

WSP Middle East is looking for a Senior Architect to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position. The role involves leading architectural design projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams within the consultancy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design projects from concept development through to construction completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements, design standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and landscape architects, to integrate architectural designs into overall project plans.
• Develop and review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and constructability.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys, and investigations to gather data and inform design decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design team members.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address architectural design requirements, resolve technical issues, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
• Review and evaluate contractor submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and proposed design changes.
• Prepare design presentations, reports, and documentation for client meetings and project stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and best practices in architectural design and construction.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in the architectural field.
• Specific experience in interface management roles within the consultancy sector.
• Strong background in site supervision for large-scale projects, including residential, commercial buildings, and malls.
