About the Role

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Autocad Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves reporting directly to the Senior Design Manager and playing a key role in preparing and producing various trade drawings, shop drawings, and detailed designs across architectural, civil, structural, and industrial disciplines. The successful candidate will utilize the latest CAD systems and software, providing essential support to Engineers and Designers.

Project Context

KBR is engaged in providing Project Management Consultancy services for a significant infrastructure program located in Riyadh. This initiative involves a mixed-use development designed to become a global landmark and a distinct, self-sustaining hub. KBR's scope of services encompasses project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and the implementation of development and early works packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and apply drawing levels, reference files, and CAD tools effectively.
• Prepare all architectural/civil, electrical, and plumbing drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Develop construction drawings (IFC) and presentation drawings.
• Collaborate with Engineers to produce accurate and timely drawings for construction processes.
• Update drawings based on information provided by field survey Engineers.
• Produce drawings based on written instructions, calculations, and equations from Engineers.
• Maintain drawing files and coordinate document contributions to customers, job sites, and vendors.
• Incorporate technical details using drawings, rough sketches, specifications, and calculations from Engineers and Surveyors.
• Perform other assigned duties, including preparing materials submittals, as directed by the supervisor.
• Confirm understanding and agreement on the Scope of Work (Infrastructure Design) for project objectives with all relevant parties, and identify and address 'scope gaps' with the Client and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of overall experience in an engineering or design role.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar AutoCAD Engineer role.
• A minimum of 3 years of working experience within the Middle East region.
• A strong working understanding of engineering design principles across architectural, structural, and infrastructure design disciplines.
• Familiarity with design manuals and criteria applicable to development projects, including their use in determining design parameters.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires dedicated on-site presence to support project requirements.
