About the Role

Matar Al-Baqami Holding is seeking a dedicated AutoCAD Draftsman - Static Equipment to join our team. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Province, and is crucial for supporting projects within the Oil & Gas industry. The role requires a professional with 3-7 years of experience in drafting static equipment.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive detailed fabrication drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and shop drawings. This work will focus on various static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and tanks, ensuring all outputs align with specific project and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD for static equipment fabrication.
• Develop GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate effectively with design engineers, production, and QA/QC departments.
• Review technical specifications, client drawings, and project requirements thoroughly.
• Modify and revise drawings based on engineering comments and feedback.
• Prepare material take-off (MTO) and support documentation as required.
• Ensure all drawings comply with ASME, client, and project standards.
• Maintain accurate drawing records and revision control.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting.
• 3-7 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman in the Oil & Gas or fabrication industry.
• Strong experience in drafting for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and structural/fabrication drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• A good understanding of fabrication processes and engineering drawings.

Preferred Skills

• Experience gained in fabrication workshops or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical calculations and Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and Saudi Aramco standards.
