About the Project and Role

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Senior CAD Operator for the Expo 2030 Riyadh project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role supports the infrastructure program for Expo 2030, a global platform promoting sustainable development and innovation, scheduled from October 2030 to March 2031. The project involves managing early works, utilities, and public spaces across a six-square-kilometer site, which will transition into a mixed-use legacy development post-event.

Role Summary

The Senior CAD Operator is responsible for producing high-quality design drawings and developing technical solutions within a 3D digital environment. This position involves creating architectural and engineering models and drawings to support permitting and construction phases, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and management objectives. The role also includes reviewing digital submissions from consultants and contractors for compliance with client CAD/BIM standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Create models and drawings to support design, permitting, and construction, ensuring completion according to timelines, quality, and cost objectives.
• Review consultant/contractor 3D models and drawings for adherence to client CAD and BIM Standards.
• Support the management of the drawing mark-up process, including maintaining all previous mark-up and revision history.
• Coordinate project drawing requirements proactively between design colleagues, project managers, and external consultants.
• Provide CAD drafting and Revit modeling services and technical support to project teams as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant CAD Operator role.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality design drawings.
• Experience in developing solutions for technical challenges in a 3D digital environment.
• Proficiency in creating architectural and engineering models and drawings.
• Familiarity with CAD/BIM standards, information requirements, and Level of Development (LOD) specifications.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis. The Senior CAD Operator will primarily support the Engineering department, with potential to provide services to other departments within the project.
