Senior Commercial Manager Enabling Works

About the Role

Mace is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager, Enabling Works, to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading commercial management for a designated workstream within a large-scale program. The position requires 5-10 years of experience in commercial management, particularly in enabling works and infrastructure projects.

Project Context

This role is part of one of Saudi Arabia's largest programs, focusing on a major mixed-use development that includes sports facilities, entertainment, arts, and associated infrastructure. Mace serves as a delivery partner, requiring experienced professionals to lead integrated teams across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of a designated workstream from procurement through final account settlement.
• Review procurement strategies, tender documentation, and package recommendations.
• Provide commercial oversight for contractor procurement activities.
• Assess commercial risks, value engineering opportunities, and scope gaps.
• Manage contract administration support and commercial governance.
• Review variations, change control, and commercial reporting.
• Support stakeholder engagement across clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure robust cost management, forecasting, and final account settlement.
• Mentor and support commercial managers within the wider team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in quantity surveying or cost management, or an equivalent qualification.
• Professional membership such as MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development, with progression towards fellowship.
• Experience in the commercial management of enabling works, civil engineering, earthworks, utilities, and infrastructure packages across the GCC region.
• A proven track record of delivering large-scale excavation, infrastructure, and site development projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects from procurement and subcontractor engagement through contract administration, commercial control, and successful final account agreement.
