Senior Commissioning Engineer Electrical

About the Role

AESG is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer Electrical to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time senior role within the commissioning project team, where the successful candidate will serve as a technical authority and leader within their chosen discipline. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can support the project manager in scope delivery and provide training and coaching to team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently conduct site inspections within the electrical discipline.
• Review design information, tolerances, and agreed methods of working.
• Assess whether test procedures and recorded results comply with project specifications and industry codes of practice.
• Assist with reviewing project documentation for compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice.
• Report issues found to senior team members in a clear, accurate, and concise manner.
• Liaise professionally with contractors' commissioning teams.
• Carry out site observations regarding the quality of installation.
• Produce high-standard documentation, including Site Observation Reports.
• Monitor installation, submittals, and the use of engineering tools, adhering to project and commissioning guidelines.
• Participate in meetings and workshops as required.
• Support, mentor, and train colleagues.
• Track task completion, prepare lookaheads, and trackers for project milestones.
• Maintain a daily diary of events and activities, including systems inspected, documents reviewed, and decisions made by authorities on site.
• Assist with commissionability design reviews when requested, producing high-quality, detail-oriented documentation with recommendations and considerations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience and high-level competencies in specialized electrical areas.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
