The Role of Senior Compliance Specialist

Unifonic is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves contributing to the future of communication by ensuring robust compliance frameworks and practices are in place across the organization. The specialist will play a key role in managing regulatory risks and maintaining adherence to applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an engagement framework with the regulator (CST).
  • Collaborate with management and staff to identify and manage regulatory compliance risks.
  • Maintain open communication with relevant decision-makers and stakeholders regarding regulatory updates and their impact.
  • Organize regular training sessions for employees on key regulatory changes.
  • Support the creation and implementation of organizational policies, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct research on industry compliance regulations and policies.
  • Evaluate internal operational and procedural compliance.
  • Ensure internal regulatory compliance through communication, approval processes, and stakeholder training.
  • Manage applications for compliance certifications and regulatory approvals.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance recordkeeping system.
  • Maintain communication with compliance regulators and follow up on applications.
  • Stay informed about compliance requirements and regulatory amendments.
  • Identify process roadblocks and propose improvements.
  • Maintain a compliance communication register and related documentation.
  • Create and manage action plans in response to regulatory compliance audit findings and violations.
  • Remediate regulatory audits, conduct periodic reviews, and compile identified gaps with corresponding action plans.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a compliance analyst or specialist within an enterprise-level organization.
  • Strong experience in both reviewing and drafting policies and documentation in both Arabic and English.
  • Demonstrated experience with international standards and local regulatory requirements related to telecommunications, data protection, and data localization.
  • Higher Education or a Bachelor’s Degree in a Technology or Management field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, manage, and complete projects in alignment with stakeholder needs, expectations, and organizational strategic objectives.
  • Diligent attention to detail and advanced analytical abilities.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic, with excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

Desired Certifications

  • A compliance management or project management certification is considered a plus.
