The Role of Senior Compliance Specialist

The Compliance team at Unifonic is responsible for managing and enhancing the company's overall Compliance function. This role focuses on all Compliance affairs, aiming to anticipate potential issues and develop proactive, practical solutions for the business. The Senior Compliance Specialist will contribute to ensuring regulatory adherence and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the organization maintains an engagement framework with the regulator (CST).
  • Collaborate with management and staff to identify and manage regulatory compliance risks.
  • Maintain open communication with relevant decision-makers and stakeholders regarding regulatory updates and their impact.
  • Organize regular training sessions for employees on key regulatory changes.
  • Support the creation and implementation of organizational policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Research industry compliance regulations and policies.
  • Evaluate internal operational and procedural compliance.
  • Maintain internal regulatory compliance through communication, approvals, and stakeholder training.
  • Apply for compliance certifications and regulatory approvals.
  • Develop and maintain a compliance recordkeeping system.
  • Maintain communication with compliance regulators and follow up on applications.
  • Stay updated on compliance requirements and regulatory amendments.
  • Identify roadblocks and propose process improvements.
  • Maintain a compliance communication register and documentation.
  • Create and manage action plans in response to regulatory compliance audit findings and violations.
  • Remediate regulatory audits and periodic reviews, compiling gaps and action plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience as a compliance analyst or specialist within an enterprise-level organization.
  • Strong experience in both reviewing and drafting policies and documentation.
  • Experience with international standards and local regulatory requirements related to telecommunications, data protection, and data localization.
  • Ability to effectively plan, manage, and complete projects in alignment with stakeholder needs, expectations, and organizational strategic objectives.
  • Diligent attention to detail and advanced analytical abilities.
