About the Role

Google is seeking a Senior Consultant Red Team for Mandiant Consulting. Based in Riyadh, this full-time role involves providing cybersecurity consulting services and support to clients. The consultant will assess and advise clients on both technical and process-based controls across various environments. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in the field.

Mandiant's Mission and Approach

The Mandiant Red Team's mission is to scope, plan, and execute offensive security assessments for Google Cloud and Mandiant customers. Mandiant, a part of Google Cloud, is recognized for its leadership in dynamic cyber defense, threat intelligence, and incident response services. The team operates with a focus on continuous learning and evolution, applying a curious and investigative approach to cybersecurity to understand and counter advanced threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Red and Purple Team assessments, including end-to-end adversarial emulation of cyber attacks against customer organizations.
  • Conduct other technical cyber assessments such as external penetration, web application, mobile, and wireless security testing.
  • Scope, plan, and execute offensive security engagements, which may involve breaching external perimeters through application compromise and preparing command and control infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute social engineering campaigns, including associated collateral and phishing campaigns, to attempt compromise of internet-facing systems.
  • Conduct privilege escalation and lateral movement within customer networks, hunting for objectives with limited information.
  • Exfiltrate data from networks while avoiding detection from customer security operations teams.
  • Develop comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, security leaders, and other customer stakeholders.
  • Assist with scoping prospective engagements and lead teams for engagements from kickoff through the remediation phase.
  • Mentor other staff members within the team.

Team Capabilities and Development

The Senior Consultant will contribute to expanding the team’s capabilities through tool creation, research on offensive techniques, and the incorporation of threat actor intelligence. This includes facilitating internal presentations and knowledge sharing to enhance collective expertise and operational effectiveness.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role are expected to have 5-10 years of experience in offensive security, cybersecurity consulting, or related fields. This includes practical experience in performing advanced security assessments and advising clients on complex security controls and processes.
