Senior Design Manager

About the Role

SSH is seeking a Senior Design Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the multidisciplinary design delivery for large-scale and complex building projects, including mixed-use and hospitality developments. The Senior Design Manager will ensure design quality, technical excellence, coordination, and successful delivery from concept through detailed design phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams across Architecture, Structures, MEP, and specialist disciplines.
• Manage design delivery, coordination, programme, quality, and key project milestones.
• Act as a senior interface with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Lead design reviews and resolve complex technical and coordination issues.
• Manage third-party consultants and ensure effective integration of their designs.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and authority regulations.
• Drive BIM coordination, constructability, and design quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and provide leadership to Design Managers and wider project teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a consultancy background.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale buildings, high-rise, mixed-use, hospitality, and/or residential developments.
• Demonstrated client-facing and team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design processes and BIM-led delivery.
• KSA/GCC project experience is highly preferred.
• Professional registration with a recognised institution is advantageous.

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team, contributing to significant projects across the region.
