Senior Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

Zahran Facilities Management is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead the Electrical Operations & Maintenance (O&M) function for a large-scale project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires managing a department of approximately 140 personnel and ensuring the efficient operation of all electrical services. The role involves significant leadership and technical oversight within a complex facility environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a large electrical team, including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Oversee electrical O&M, Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), emergency response, and daily maintenance activities.
• Plan and monitor manpower, maintenance schedules, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), budgets, and overall work performance.
• Manage electrical systems, including Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear, transformers, generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Main Distribution Boards (MDBs), and Distribution Boards (DBs).
• Manage contractors, vendors, procurement processes, materials, and maintenance resources.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including NEC, NFPA, IEC, IEEE, HSE, and Saudi regulations.
• Manage Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) / Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), technical documentation, reports, and maintenance records.
• Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical services.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant electrical O&M experience, with a total experience range of 5-10 years.
• Proven experience managing large teams, preferably 100+ personnel.
• Strong experience in large-scale facilities, projects, hospitals, or residential/commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of PPM/CM methodologies, electrical systems, NFPA, NEC, and safety requirements.
• Saudi or GCC experience is preferred.
