About the Role

Sama Construction & Contracting is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager (Technical) to lead critical functions within our projects. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this full-time position is central to overseeing all technical, engineering design, and technical office operations for major Infrastructure and Earthworks projects. The role demands a leader capable of ensuring technical excellence and operational efficiency across all project phases.

Role Purpose and Impact

The successful candidate will serve as a crucial link, bridging the gap between initial design concepts, established engineering standards, and practical site execution. A primary objective is to ensure that all technical submittals, value engineering initiatives, site preparation activities, mass excavation plans, and filling strategies are meticulously optimized and fully compliant with project requirements and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Engineering Manager (Technical) will be responsible for:

• Leading and managing the technical office team, design reviews, shop drawings, and technical documentation across all project phases.
• Directing engineering evaluations, geotechnical reviews, and volume calculations for large-scale earthworks and infrastructure projects.
• Resolving complex technical challenges on-site, providing robust engineering solutions for ground conditions, excavation stability, and filling operations.
• Managing interfaces between client technical representatives, engineering consultants, sub-contractors, and internal execution teams.
• Overseeing material approvals, method statements, value engineering initiatives, and comprehensive technical risk assessments.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A minimum of 10–12+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in major civil infrastructure and heavy earthworks projects.
