About the Role

Cundall is seeking a Senior Facades Engineer to join its established team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position will support the construction-stage delivery of a large-scale hospitality project. Role Responsibilities

Based on site, the Senior Facades Engineer will be responsible for reviewing contractor shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, and method statements. The role involves undertaking inspections of facade works, monitoring mock-ups, testing, and installation quality to ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and approved details. Coordination with the client, project manager, main contractor, specialist facade subcontractors, and Cundall's multidisciplinary teams is essential for proactively identifying technical and quality risks, resolving site issues, reporting progress, and supporting the safe and timely delivery of the facade package.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a BEng degree or equivalent in facade engineering, civil/structural engineering, architecture, architectural technology, or a related discipline. Strong practical experience in facade engineering and construction-stage site delivery is required. A sound technical understanding of various facade systems, including stick curtain walling, aluminium and glass systems, metal and stone cladding, windows & doors, skylights, waterproofing, and critical interfaces with the primary structure and adjacent trades, is necessary.

Key Requirements

• Proven site-based facade engineering experience on major hospitality, mixed-use, or complex building projects, preferably in KSA or the wider Gulf region.
• Experience reviewing facade shop drawings, calculations, material submissions, method statements, ITPs, mock-ups, and performance test documentation.
• Ability to conduct site inspections, record and close observations, support RFI/NCR responses, and track quality and compliance throughout installation.
• Working knowledge of relevant KSA, GCC, and international facade codes, standards, and typical project specifications.

Essential Skills

Given the collaborative, client-facing, and site-based nature of this role, excellent communication, clear technical reporting, and practical problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to work confidently with contractors and multidisciplinary teams is also a key requirement.
