About the Role

مجموعة الفطيم - غير ذلك is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to the company's financial operations, focusing on the accurate and timely recognition, recording, and reporting of revenue in compliance with IFRS 15 and internal policies. The Senior Financial Accountant will manage the revenue close cycle and collaborate with various internal teams.

Role Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following key duties:

• Applying IFRS 15 to customer contracts, including identifying performance obligations, allocating transaction price, and determining recognition timing.
• Reviewing new and amended contracts for revenue accounting implications such as variable consideration, discounts, rebates, and multiple-element arrangements.
• Preparing and posting monthly revenue journals, accruals, deferrals, and unbilled revenue adjustments, and maintaining deferred revenue and contract balance roll-forwards.
• Owning the revenue and receivables close at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, including balance sheet reconciliations for all revenue-related accounts.
• Performing revenue variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, and contributing to management reporting and statutory disclosures.
• Overseeing billing accuracy, monitoring AR ageing and expected credit loss provisions, and operating internal controls over the order-to-cash cycle.
• Acting as the primary contact for auditors on revenue matters, supporting system and process improvements, and coaching junior accountants.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA) completed or in progress.
• 4-6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years specifically in revenue accounting. Big 4 audit experience is considered an advantage.
• Hands-on experience applying IFRS 15 and IFRS 9 in a complex, multi-product or multi-entity environment.
