Senior Financial Analyst

About the Role

Visa (KSA) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves close collaboration with the Finance and Client Facing organizations, providing essential financial business support. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the KBO Head of Finance, supporting overall business priorities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman (KBO).

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses financial planning, analysis, reporting, risk management, financial modeling, and the review of client deals and business cases. Key responsibilities include:

• Producing key business drivers for strategic planning, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting.
• Conducting volume trend and product mix analysis (International vs. Domestic).
• Proactively identifying development areas in designated markets and providing financial support for market development strategies.
• Supporting discussions related to pricing and interchange, including their impacts on client profitability.
• Managing ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and yearly analysis of market and client trends.
• Providing support in revenue management and investment decision-making.
• Participating in continuous improvement activities to meet internal customer expectations.

Incentives and Contracts Management

• Responsible for deal modeling for clients in covered markets, ensuring compliance with business needs and internal governance.
• Reviewing incentive deal proposals with geo/functional teams and providing feedback to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
• Providing recommendations to senior leadership on financial viability and execution risks.
• Tracking executed deals in covered markets and providing real-time performance analysis.
• Conducting financial analysis for forecasting contra-revenues.
• Reviewing and challenging sales teams to obtain realistic projections for existing and new deals.
• Performing deal reforecasting on a monthly/quarterly basis and during the budget process.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders (Legal, Client Contract Management, Controlling) to ensure efficient execution and proper accounting of client incentive contracts.

Expense and Compliance Management

• Proactively managing cross-functional and geography expense planning.
• Providing financial leadership in the forecast and budget process for markets, including tracking performance and understanding variances.
• Advising cost center managers on approved budgets and forecasts.
• Implementing strategies to prevent and resolve bad debts.
• Ensuring deals and approval-to-spend requests comply with policies and procedures.
• Maintaining data integrity, consistency of information, and organized documentation of financial assumptions and results.
• Guiding business partners on their approved budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting. A strong understanding of financial modeling, risk management, and compliance requirements is essential for this role.

Work Conditions

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. Visa requires employees to work at least 3 days in the office, with specific expectations to be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.
