About the Role

DeepSource is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is focused on the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure environments. The role requires a professional with extensive hands-on experience across a wide array of infrastructure technologies.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the high availability and performance of critical systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in troubleshooting complex technical issues and contributing to the overall stability and efficiency of the company's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Manage Windows Server and/or Linux systems, including patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies.
• Support cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft infrastructure services.
• Configure and maintain enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and coordinate with network and security teams when required.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity, and performance, proactively addressing potential issues.
• Implement infrastructure security standards, access controls, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and patch management.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in high-availability, disaster recovery, migration, upgrade, and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures, and operational standards.
• Automate routine infrastructure activities using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or infrastructure automation platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change, and configuration management.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in an infrastructure engineering role.
• Demonstrated strong hands-on experience across servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage, networking, backup, and infrastructure security.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Windows Server and/or Linux system administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere/ESXi and Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, specifically Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Competence in managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Skills in enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Ability to automate routine infrastructure activities using scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Python, or dedicated automation platforms.
