Sana Al Jazira Co. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for a highly experienced and creative professional.

The Role

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the complete interior design process from concept to execution. This includes initial concept development, detailed design, technical documentation, material selection, coordination, and project oversight. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in interior design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete interior design process from concept development to project completion.
• Develop creative design concepts, mood boards, colour schemes, and material palettes.
• Prepare space-planning layouts, furniture arrangements, and circulation studies.
• Produce detailed 2D drawings and high-quality 3D visualisations.
• Prepare detailed designs for flooring, ceilings, wall finishes, lighting, joinery, furniture, and decorative elements.
• Develop construction drawings, technical details, specifications, schedules, and material submittals.
• Select and evaluate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting fixtures, sanitaryware, fabrics, and accessories.
• Coordinate interior design requirements with architectural, structural, MEP, and site teams.
• Review shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, and material submissions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Conduct site visits to ensure executed works comply with approved designs and quality requirements.
• Resolve design and technical issues during the construction and installation stages.
• Manage project timelines, design deliverables, and coordination requirements.
• Guide and supervise junior designers and draftsmen when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in interior design.
• Strong experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, office, or high-end interior projects.
• Proven ability to independently manage complete interior design projects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development, technical detailing, and completed projects.

Required Skills and Technical Proficiency

• Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, joinery, and construction methods.
• Strong technical understanding of architectural and MEP coordination.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, Lumion, or Enscape.
• Good communication, presentation, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is preferred.
• Knowledge of local suppliers, materials, and construction practices is an advantage.
