About Mayar Foods
Mayar Foods is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager Modern Trade to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to implementing the company's sales strategy and achieving key commercial objectives within the modern trade channel.
Role Summary
The Senior Key Account Manager Modern Trade is responsible for driving sales and collection targets on a monthly and quarterly basis, as cascaded by the Head of Sales. This involves meticulous planning and execution of promotional calendars, ensuring alignment with key customers and the internal sales team, and maintaining strong market presence for Mayar Foods' products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Channel Manager in preparing the annual sales budget, including detailed sales targets for customers.
- Prepare, propose, and control the financial and resource requirements of the sales budget.
- Implement the company's overarching sales strategy.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base within key accounts.
- Lead and mentor the key account management team, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance.
- Provide regular reports on account status and sales forecasts to upper management.
- Plan and execute promotional calendars, ensuring 100% on-shelf availability and shelf space as per customer contracts.
- Prepare and present quarterly business review reports to customers, detailing achievements by brand and branch, along with recommendations for opportunities and challenges.
- Support Modern Trade channel managers in building promotional calendars and ensuring effective in-market execution.
- Conduct quarterly reconciliations to prevent disputes or overages with customers.
- Reduce bad returns and maintain a monthly tracker for presentation to management.
- Schedule and conduct visits to customer head offices and individual branches.
- Ensure prime location and visibility for Mayar Foods' products within retail environments.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain excellent and robust business relationships with key customers across KSA.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers to foster strong partnerships.
- Ensure a high level of communication with various customer stakeholders, including Buyers, Category Managers, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Store Managers.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in key account management, preferably within the modern trade sector.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales and collection targets.
- Proven experience in strategic account planning and promotional calendar management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring a team.
