The Role of Senior Mechanical Engineer

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Buildings team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves working on a diverse portfolio of projects in both public and private sectors, including commercial, hospitality, education, healthcare, residential, sports, and infrastructure developments. The role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves contributing to the design and delivery of mechanical building services solutions from concept through to construction support.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical building services designs, calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
• Assist in the delivery of projects from concept design through to construction stages.
• Undertake mechanical services surveys and assessments of existing buildings and infrastructure.
• Produce and review mechanical design drawings and engineering calculations.
• Contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other building services disciplines.
• Support project planning and delivery within agreed programmes and budgets.
• Attend client, design team, and stakeholder meetings as required.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to graduate and junior engineers.
• Assist senior engineers and project managers in delivering successful project outcomes.

Candidate Requirements
