Senior Media Analyst

About the Role

stc is seeking a Senior Media Analyst to manage the company's Media Relations. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role holder will operate under the direction of Corporate Communication management, adhering to established business policies and procedures.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to effectively manage stc’s media relations. This involves implementing strategic plans and directions provided by the Corporate Communication department to ensure consistent and positive media representation for the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Corporate Communication initiatives by securing media news coverage across various platforms (TV, Newspapers, Social Media) to reach all customer segments.
• Develop and maintain long-term local and international media relations with TV channels and news/digital agencies to strengthen the stc brand and lead telecom news coverage in the region.
• Monitor stc-related media coverage and provide timely feedback or rebuttals in instances of negative press to safeguard the stc brand image.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports to Corporate Communication management and top management regarding media news coverage and its impact from international and local outlets on the stc brand image.
• Provide media support to the GCEO and Top Executives, including Group CEOs, during local and international events by arranging TV spots and journalist appointments to ensure stc's active presence for all stakeholders and potential investors.
• Collaborate with the Media Relation Content Support section to develop press releases, interview talking points, and executive speeches, ensuring alignment with stc's brand strategy and content quality standards.
• Proactively coordinate with relevant sectors within stc to plan annual media coverage needs.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of experience in media relations or a related field. A strong understanding of media landscapes, both local and international, is essential for success in this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Corporate Communication department of stc. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external media partners.
