About the Role

Sama Construction & Contracting is seeking a Senior Planner to join a significant infrastructure and construction project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves developing, maintaining, monitoring, and reporting project schedules while ensuring adherence to contract requirements and industry best practices. The role demands strong expertise in planning, scheduling, progress measurement, delay analysis, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline schedules in accordance with contract requirements.
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), coding structures, calendars, and project milestones.
• Review engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning schedules.
• Monitor project progress and identify schedule deviations.
• Perform schedule analysis and recommend corrective actions to recover delays.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Prepare recovery and acceleration schedules when required.
• Participate in project progress meetings with clients and consultants.
• Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims with schedule analysis and delay assessments.
• Perform resource and productivity analysis where required.
• Ensure schedule updates accurately reflect site progress.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience on major infrastructure or mega projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Previous experience on mega projects is highly preferred.
• PMP or PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Experience with Power BI is an advantage.
