About the Role

Al-Ayuni Investment and Contracting Company is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join a major infrastructure project team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves critical project scheduling and control functions.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules across all phases of the project lifecycle. This role ensures that planning activities are consistently aligned with contractual requirements, execution strategies, and overall project objectives for a significant infrastructure endeavor.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules.
• Prepare baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and revised programs as required.
• Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance against approved baselines.
• Track critical and near-critical activities to identify risks and potential delays.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Conduct delay analysis using recognized methodologies such as TIA and impacted-as-planned analysis.
• Support Extension of Time (EOT) and prolongation claims preparation.
• Coordinate with site teams to collect progress data, productivity reports, and lookahead plans.
• Integrate engineering, procurement, and construction activities into master schedules.
• Monitor manpower and equipment productivity against planned targets.
• Coordinate with Technical Office, Procurement, QA/QC, and HSE teams to align planning activities.
• Develop S-curves, resource histograms, KPI reports, and schedule performance indicators.
• Identify schedule deviations and propose corrective and recovery actions.
• Support management with planning insights, forecasting, and risk analysis.
• Mentor junior planners and support planning process improvements across the project.

Required Experience

Candidates for this Senior Planning Engineer position should possess 2-5 years of experience in project planning. The role requires a professional with proven experience in managing complex scheduling tasks, ideally within major infrastructure projects.
