Senior Pre Sales Cybersecurity Engineer

About the Role

Brains Valley Company is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting sales and business development teams in designing, positioning, and presenting advanced cybersecurity solutions to enterprise and government customers across Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant cybersecurity experience and strong exposure to the Saudi cybersecurity market, enterprise customers, vendors, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Qualify opportunities and understand customer business, security, and technical requirements in collaboration with Sales, Account Management, and Business Development teams.
• Conduct customer discovery sessions, technical meetings, workshops, and solution presentations.
• Design end-to-end cybersecurity architectures and solutions across various domains, including SIEM/SOC, XDR/EDR, SOAR, Network Security (NGFW, IPS, WAF & ZTNA), IAM/PAM, DLP & Data Security, Email & Web Security, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, Threat Intelligence, and Security Operations & Managed Security Services.
• Translate customer requirements into technically feasible and commercially competitive cybersecurity solutions.
• Prepare High-Level Designs (HLDs), solution architectures, technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BoM), sizing, and scope of work.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders, including requirements analysis, compliance matrices, technical solution design, technical documentation, and clarification responses.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and executive-level solution briefings.
• Lead and coordinate Proof of Concept (PoC) activities, including planning, deployment support, configuration, tuning, testing, evaluation, and final reporting.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity vendors and distributors to validate architectures, sizing, licensing, pricing, technical compliance, and competitive positioning.
• Compare competing cybersecurity technologies and provide technical differentiation and positioning during sales opportunities.
• Support commercial teams with technical input for pricing, licensing models, implementation requirements, and project scope.
• Collaborate with implementation and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover of awarded projects.
• Participate in customer meetings throughout the sales lifecycle.
• Maintain strong technical relationships with customers, vendors, distributors, and technology partners.
• Stay current with cybersecurity technologies, emerging threats, industry trends, vendor roadmaps, and competitive solutions.

Saudi Market and Compliance Experience

Candidates should possess strong knowledge of the cybersecurity environment and regulatory landscape in Saudi Arabia, including practical exposure to frameworks and requirements such as NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC), NCA Cloud Cybersecurity Controls (CCC), SAMA Cybersecurity Framework, Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), ISO/IEC 27001, and relevant government and sector-specific cybersecurity requirements. Experience working on cybersecurity opportunities for Saudi government entities, semi-government organizations, financial institutions, telecom operators, or large enterprise customers is preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Networking, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant cybersecurity experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably within large enterprises, leading system integrators, cybersecurity companies, MSSPs, or major technology vendors.
• Proven experience in Cybersecurity Pre-Sales, Solution Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Security Consulting is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of multiple cybersecurity domains and enterprise security architectures.
• Demonstrated experience in solution design, architecture, sizing, licensing, and BoM preparation.
• Strong experience handling technical requirements for RFPs, RFQs, government tenders, and enterprise proposals.
• Experience presenting cybersecurity solutions to technical teams, senior management, and decision-makers.
• Experience coordinating with major cybersecurity vendors and distributors.
• Good understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, cloud environments, and security architecture.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how technical solution design impacts project cost and competitiveness.

Preferred Technical Experience

Experience with technologies or solutions from leading cybersecurity vendors such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Sentinel One, Splunk, IBM, Trend Micro, Check Point, CyberArk, Beyond Trust, Proofpoint, Forcepoint, F5, Imperva, Tenable, Rapid7, or equivalent enterprise cybersecurity technologies is highly desirable.
