About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a major Aircraft Hangar Development Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves acting as the Project Management Consultant (PMC), overseeing the project from design through construction and handover. The successful candidate will ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

Project Leadership and Management

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and management of the Aircraft Hangar Development Project. This includes leading the PMC team and serving as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the PMC team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead proactive schedule management and critical path oversight using integrated project controls.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, contractors, designers, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Review and approve project execution plans, construction methodologies, and recovery plans.
  • Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Manage design coordination activities and resolve technical and commercial issues.
  • Lead progress review meetings and provide strategic direction to project teams.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Review and monitor project KPIs, milestones, and overall performance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable aviation, building, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee change management processes, variation reviews, and claims assessments.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure effective coordination between all disciplines, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
  • Review and approve project reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
  • Support procurement, tender evaluations, and contractor selection processes where required.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the successful project handover, close-out, and lessons learned process.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, specifically within large-scale development projects.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, stakeholder management, and technical expertise.
  • Experience in managing projects from design through construction and handover.
  • Ability to integrate planning, scheduling, cost, risk, and performance data for informed decision-making.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires working within a Project Management Consultant (PMC) framework, collaborating with various internal and external teams.
